Rainy Days

Wow we where so lucky, the typhoon missed us. It turned away at the last moment and all we got was more rain, I mean a lot more rain but we have to thank our lord and savior because everyone is safe and that is the most important thing. This afternoon the sun came out for a few hours, it was long enough for my sister and me to wash and to dry our clothes. I am hoping this friday or saturday to go to the movies with my Tera and some of my friends but it will depend on if it is raining or not. I am not sure if you know but I support one of my cousin with her college, you can find her in myspace photo albums, yes she is HOT. I cannot believe how hard she is studying. Nearly every night she will get home from schooling about 8pm and then she studies until midnight, then she is awake again at 5am to study again before going to classes again. I am so proud of her, she wants to be a teacher and I am sure she will obtain her dream! Until next time God Bless and take care!

Wishing For Sunny Days & Beaches

Another Typhoon is coming, this is the 3rd typhoon in 3 weeks. The first one, 3 weeks ago, flooded our home with about 30cm of water. The 2nd typhoon did not do any damage to our place but killed about 280 people in and around Manila, so everyone is a little scared because this one is a catergory 3 typhoon, which is much bigger then the last two. I think out of the last month or 5 weeks we have had about 5 days that have not rained. I am so tired of rain, I think I am going to grow web feet like a duck.hehehe On the few days it has not rained I have been busy trying to wash clothes and to get them dry which is not easy because one moment the sun is shining the next moment it is monsoonal rain. waaaaa It is also very hard to plan out side photo shoots because you do not know if it will rain or not! I am hoping for some sunny days so me and my sister and friends can go swimming or go to the movies, do anything just to get away from the house for a while. Until next time God Bless and take care!

Still Wet:-)

Four days after the water came into our home and it the rain still has not stopped. I think it is now two weeks of nearly non stop rain. If it does stop then only for about 1 hr then it starts again. It is so depressing. We are all still cleaning up the house from when the water came into the house. Now we are always afraid that maybe it will flood again if the rain keeps coming. I have so many dirty clothes but cannot wash because there is no hope of getting them dry. We try and play games and make jokes all the time to keep everyone spirits up. My friends baby is in bad mood because he too is so bored because he loves to play outside and now he cannot go play. I cannot believe how much rain we have it just seems it will never stop. It does not look like stopping. I am a little depressed because of the rain, I want to go swimming and go to the cinema but it is just raining to hard to do anything. I will keep you up dated but I am thinking of starting to build an ark. You have any wood? hehehe Until next time God Bless and take care!

One Very Wet Filipina-hehehe

Everyone is awake by 7am in the hotel, we have simple breakfast of noodles in a cup. About 9.30am we decide to go see if the house is okay. When we get to our street to our surprise the water is gone so we are all happy and laughing but when we get to our house we find that the house had been flooded and about 30cm of water had got into the house by the dirty water mark on the walls. Our lounge which we had no place to put was soaked with water and there was mud everywhere. But mostly every thing was okay so it was a matter of just cleaning up. All of our neighbours was doing the same as the water had got into any home that was on low ground. Where we live is suppose to be the high ground so I feel so sorry for the people who lived next to the river. We where lucky we where all safe. All of our furniture and our personal stuff was okay if a little wet. On the TV news we find out how lucky we where because many people drown including children. The rain is still monsoonal but the street only has small water not like yesterday. They turn the water on about 11am and the electricity about 3pm. We have simple meal for dinner and decide to go to bed early. Everyone is tired after working so hard cleaning the house. We give thanks to our lord and saviour for keeping us safe. Fleeing Our Home

When I get out of bed this morning, I start to prepare breakfast for everyone. My sister go outside and scream and call for everyone to hurry come look at the street. So everyone rush outside to her and oh my god the whole street is under water and it is coming into our place. We are all scared, my friend and I decide that it is starting to get very dangerous so we must prepare to leave the house if necessary, if the water keep coming. We start to put all the furniture on to tables and anything that is up high. The rain is still very hard and never look like it is going to stop. By 9am the water is only one cm from coming into our home. Then the water start to go down, our neighbours say, that is because the tide is going out. My friend and I decide to go to barangay hall to find out what is happening and to get information. When we start to walk into the street the water come up to my waist and there is some much rubbish. We wade threw the water in the street until we get to barangay hall. We walk maybe 400 mtrs and all the way the water was up to our waist or a little higher. At the barangay hall the police are there and I ask what is happening and he say that people are leaving the area because the water is expected to go higher tonight when it is high tide again. I ask him will there be anyone to help us later if we need help and he say he don't know. It look to me that no one knows what to do. There is no plan to help the people, they are just advising people to leave if they can. We go home again and my friends and sister have already put the furniture that they can lift up high. At 9.30am they cut the water and at 11am the electricity is cut. We all just sit in the house and have a little prayer session and pray that the water not get any higher. My friend whose house it is has her sister and baby staying with us. We are all scared for the baby because when it is dark there will be no lights and if we have to leave in the middle of the night in a hurry it would be very dangerous for baby. Because we will not be able to see in the dark and maybe the water is very deep and very strong flowing. I say to my friend much better we leave now, while it is still daylight because it is to dangerous for the baby. My friend agree so we all gather some small things like toiletries and some spare clothes and we leave our home about 5pm. That night we stay in a hotel, there are 5 of us in the one room plus baby but we have no choice. The only thing what matters is that we are all safe, material things can be replaced but people cannot. Until next time God Bless and take care!
